My musical career began with keyboard lessons at Clive Brooks’ music school in Bitterne, when I was young enough to not be embarrassed at turning up for lessons dressed as Superman! By way of rebellion at my dad, who had played guitar since the year dot, I then took up the drums, and had my own Premier kit at the age of nine. Following a few deps on drums with local bands, I finally gave in and picked up my first electric guitar, a Les Paul copy, as I remember. Since then I have been lucky enough to get asked to play at both the Isle of Wight and Glastonbury festivals, as well as supporting Will Young at Osborne House. I currently work as a guitarist in various wedding and function bands around the south of England and much further afield. I am also a keen guitar tech, and adept at repairing and setting up guitars and basses for fellow musicians around the area.
When Steely Scam asked me to join on guitar I jumped at the chance, and although the music is complex and demanding, it is also great fun!
